No sooner has the latest Tom Cruise vehicle been released; it’s parked in a hackers garage and distributed though a web of torrents, streaming sites and illegal rips sold in pubs. Not that i care about Tom Cruise, but these days its hard to get a sale and distribution through the traditional means, especially so if your film is handmade, contains no A – listers and is a modern fable / come riff on the myth of the minotaur vs the BSE outbreak of 1987.
So two years after the successful premiere at the Raindance festival in London and an eventful bunch of other festivals including the best feature film award at the New Jersey film festival and a Big Kahuna award in Hawaii, Blunt Films presents Miles Away for an alternative Christmas transmission.
Miles Away is my first feature film, self financed, written, produced, directed and edited. Every single person involved gave their time and their talents for an audience to watch. If it can’t be sold to be stolen it should be given as a gift. Miles Away will be available on Vimeo until the weekend of the 6th of January. Merry Christmas.
